Teach me 2 beginner yoga poses and what their benefits are

Sure thing! Let’s start with two classic beginner yoga poses:

1. Mountain Pose (Tadasana) How to do it:
  1. Stand tall with your feet together or hip-width apart.
  2. Spread your toes and place your weight evenly on both feet.
  3. Engage your thighs and lift your kneecaps slightly.
  4. Lengthen your spine, lift your chest, and relax your shoulders.
  5. Let your arms hang naturally by your sides with your palms facing forward.

Benefits:
  • Improves posture.
  • Strengthens thighs,
  • knees, and ankles.
  • Increases awareness and focus.
2. Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana)

How to do it:
  1. Start on your hands and knees in a tabletop position.
  2. Spread your fingers wide and press into your hands.
  3.   Tuck your toes under and lift your hips towards the ceiling.
  4. Straighten your legs as much as you can without locking your knees.
  5. Press your heels toward the floor and your head between your arms, in line with your ears.

Benefits:

  • Stretches the hamstrings,
  • calves, and shoulders.
  • Strengthens arms and legs.
  • Relieves stress and calms the mind.
Give these a try and feel the stretch! 🧘‍♂️If you need more poses or tips, just let me know
