Teach me 2 beginner yoga poses and what their benefits are
Sure thing! Let’s start with two classic beginner yoga poses:
1. Mountain Pose (Tadasana) How to do it:
- Stand tall with your feet together or hip-width apart.
- Spread your toes and place your weight evenly on both feet.
- Engage your thighs and lift your kneecaps slightly.
- Lengthen your spine, lift your chest, and relax your shoulders.
- Let your arms hang naturally by your sides with your palms facing forward.

2. Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana)
How to do it:
- Start on your hands and knees in a tabletop position.
- Spread your fingers wide and press into your hands.

- Straighten your legs as much as you can without locking your knees.
- Press your heels toward the floor and your head between your arms, in line with your ears.
Benefits:
- Stretches the hamstrings,
- calves, and shoulders.
- Strengthens arms and legs.
- Relieves stress and calms the mind.
