Workflow B: The Medical/Business Fact-Checker
Critical Prompt Chain for Accuracy & Safety
Critical for healthcare professionals and consultants.
AI is powerful, but hallucinations can be dangerous. This workflow ensures your AI-generated content is accurate, cited, and safe before it ever reaches your audience or patients.
The 3-Step Verification Chain
1 Extraction & Claim Isolation
First, we ask the AI to identify every factual claim, statistic, or medical assertion in your draft. We don't want it to rewrite yet; we want it to list what needs checking.
Prompt 1:
Analyze the following text. Extract every specific factual claim, statistical data point, medical guideline reference, or business regulation mention.
List them clearly as bullet points. Do not verify them yet. Just isolate them.
Text: "{{INSERT_YOUR_DRAFT_HERE}}"
2 Cross-Referencing (Web Search)
Use an AI model with Web Browsing capabilities (like Claude with Bing/Perplexity integration, or ChatGPT Plus) to verify each isolated claim against trusted sources (e.g., PubMed, CDC, Official Gov Sites, Reputable News).
Prompt 2:
I have extracted the following claims from a draft:
{{INSERT_CLAIMS_LIST_FROM_STEP_1}}
For EACH claim:
1. Search for the most recent and authoritative source (prioritize .gov, .edu, peer-reviewed journals, or major industry bodies).
2. Verify if the claim is Accurate, Outdated, or False.
3. Provide the direct URL to the source.
4. If the claim is nuanced, provide the necessary context.
Output format: A table with columns [Claim], [Status], [Source URL], [Notes].
3 Correction & Citation Integration
Finally, feed the verified data back into the writer AI to correct any errors and insert proper citations into the original text.
Prompt 3:
Here is the original text: "{{ORIGINAL_TEXT}}"
Here is the verification report: "{{VERIFICATION_TABLE_FROM_STEP_2}}"
Rewrite the original text to:
1. Correct any inaccuracies found in the report.
2. Add inline citations (e.g., [Source Name]) where facts are stated.
3. Include a "References" section at the bottom with the URLs.
4. Maintain a professional, empathetic tone suitable for [Target Audience].
If a claim could not be verified, remove it or mark it as "Unverified - Needs Manual Review".
💡 Pro Tips for Implementation
- Source Priority: In Prompt 2, explicitly tell the AI which sources to trust. For medical topics, specify: "Prioritize PubMed, WHO, CDC, and Mayo Clinic."
- Date Constraints: Add "Only use sources from the last 3 years" to ensure you aren't citing outdated guidelines.
- Human-in-the-Loop: Always review the "Unverified" items manually. Never automate the final sign-off on medical content.
